I currently have three corn snake babies. Two were a present from my aunt that she bought with me at PETCO. I went with her and they had about seven, one foot long babies in the tank, BUT only 6 were alive. Call me crazy but I bought the pair anyway. I’ve had them for over a year now and they have no health problems. I recently purchased a female anerythristic from my local pet-store/animal rescue. I’ve known the guys for over 5 years so i know he isn’t a scam artist. I’ve had that baby for about 3 months and have had no problems with health. You can get a healthy snake almost anywhere. You just have to look for the obvious signs that its not unheathy. 1. Bumps or spots on skin 2. White, cheesy substance around mouth and nose 3. not active or alert 4. abnormal feces. DO NOT GET A SNAKE IF IT HAS ANY OF THESE SIGNS! I would recommend getting a snake off www.craigslist.org, there are many varieties of snakes on there and many low prices. Good Luck!
